We’re just a couple of kids traveling, drinking, and loving our way across this beautiful world of ours.

HER

After 15 years of Navy Brat-dom, I consider myself a professional new girl (if only this was a skill I could post on my resume). Travel has always been a big part of my life and I legitimately get an “itch” to get up and go somewhere if I am in one place for too long. I have to admit when B proposed that we were going to spend 3 or 4 nights camped out in our Prius, I was nervous. Thoughts to being arrested, w and atched, or worse flooded my mind and even now it takes me an hour or two of tossing and turning before I am comfortable and allow myself to really fall asleep. Despite my uneasiness, I love the ability to pack up and go whenever the desire strikes. A great burger or some street tacos speak to my soul and I am definitely the planner behind where we stop to eat along the way on our adventures.

Favorite Things:

  1. Anything Lavender: shampoo, vodka, lattes, essential oil, etc.
  2. The Old Fashioned Burger from The Old Fashioned in Madison, WI
  3. Baby Elephants (seriously: look up videos and try and not smile)
  4. A good Gin & Tonic
  5. Brian’s baby blues and his luscious blond curl (insert heart eyes here)

Favorite Beer: Spotted Cow (New Glarus Brewery: New Glarus, WI)

HIM

Born and raised in Wisconsin, beer has always been a part of my life. Being outside, exploring, and staying active have also been true loves of mine. I’m the type of guy that would much rather bike to work than sit in the comfort of my car during bumper-to-bumper traffic (call me crazy). As soon as I found out it was possible, I immediately knew we would be utilizing the Prius as a means to travel across the country for little cost and I haven’t regretted the purchase for a second.

Favorite Things:

  1. Functional physical fitness: SUP, kayaking, hiking
  2. A Brandy Old Fashioned (Wisconsin-Style)
  3. Everything Ultimate Frisbee: Hodags, club, beach, pick-up, etc.
  4. Waking up early (usually to play video games without S’s critique)
  5. The calming smell of Steph’s hair as I’m falling asleep

Favorite Beer: Fuel Cafe (Lakefront Brewery: Milwaukee, WI)

US

Although the original meeting is a little fuzzy (living up to our beer-loving life from the very beginning over here), we attribute our first meeting to Stephanie’s 22nd birthday (which was at a bar because, again, of course, it was). We both were attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison (go Badgers!) while Stephanie was finishing up her Bachelor’s and Brian his Master’s. With three other friends in tote, we became inseparable and a true, authentic love developed soon after. Brian finally mustered up the courage to tell Stephanie how he felt (with the help of a beverage or two) and the rest is history. Shortly after beginning the dating adventure, Brian accepted a job in Alabama and we completed a 6-month stint of being long distance. A couple of factors aligned and Stephanie joined him down in the dirty South and quickly started going out and adventuring in an effort to make this place a little more bearable (no offense, Alabama). Since then, we have used every spare weekend we can get to travel and drink our way through much of the Southeast (all whilst sleeping in our beloved Prius). When we’re not traveling, we’re snuggled up with our beloved kitty, Tink (but also lovingly referred to ask Stinks), making yummy cocktails with our pretty impressive bar set-up, and brainstorming new recipes to make together.
